Polyseam continues its international growth with the establishment of a new Central European company, significant investment in expanded UK manufacturing, and ongoing development of digital tools designed to support customers across the construction industry.

These initiatives reflect the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen global operations while continuing to deliver high-performance passive fire protection products and systems that help protect life and property.

Establishing Polyseam GmbH in Austria

Polyseam has officially established Polyseam GmbH, based in Salzburg, Austria, to support the Central European market.

The company will be led by Stefan Renner, who joins as Managing Director Polyseam GmbH. Stefan brings extensive experience within passive fire protection and a deep understanding of the regional construction industry.

The new company will provide customers across Austria, Germany and neighbouring markets with:

  • Local German-speaking technical support
  • Access to Polyseam’s full product portfolio
  • Product documentation and digital tools in German
  • Closer collaboration with distributors, contractors and specifiers

Establishing a regional presence allows Polyseam to strengthen relationships with partners while supporting projects with greater technical accessibility.

Meeting Local Certification Requirements

As part of the Central European expansion, Polyseam products are currently undergoing extensive testing and certification to meet the specific regulatory requirements of Austria and Germany.

While many European fire safety standards are harmonised, certain national regulations differ from those used in other markets. Ensuring full compliance with these requirements is a key priority before the official product launch in the region.

The first range of certified products is expected to be introduced during the summer launch period.

Expanding Manufacturing in the United Kingdom

Alongside the Central European expansion, Polyseam is also making major investments in its UK manufacturing operations.

These investments include:

  • New production lines to increase manufacturing capacity
  • Upgraded facilities to support future growth

The decision to expand UK manufacturing reflects both growing global demand for Polyseam products and the company’s commitment to maintaining full control over quality, research and production.

Supporting Global Markets

Polyseam products are supplied directly or indirectly to more than 100 countries worldwide, supporting both the company’s own brands and a wide range of private-label customers across the construction industry.

In addition, Polyseam currently supports hundreds of product certifications, making it one of the most technically advanced manufacturers within the passive fire protection sector.

The continued investment in manufacturing, testing and digital solutions ensures that partners across the world can rely on Polyseam for high-performance chemical technologies designed to meet the demands of modern construction.

Investing in Digital Tools for the Industry

Alongside its physical expansion, Polyseam has also made significant investments in digital innovation through the development of the Protecta Project Manager App.

Developed for the Protecta brand and its customers, the platform provides contractors, installers, inspectors and specifiers with a practical tool for planning, documenting and managing passive fire protection installations.

The app enables users to:

  • Create projects and manage floorplans
  • Identify tested solutions using the integrated Solution Finder
  • Record fire-stopping installations with images and installation data
  • Collaborate with project teams in real time
  • Generate documented reports for compliance and handover

This digital investment reflects Polyseam’s commitment to supporting the construction industry not only with tested products, but also with tools that help ensure correct installation, traceability and compliance throughout the life of a building.

Looking Ahead

The opening of Polyseam GmbH, the expansion of UK manufacturing and the development of the Protecta Project Manager App represent important milestones in Polyseam’s long-term growth strategy.

By investing in manufacturing, certification and digital tools, Polyseam continues to strengthen its ability to support customers and partners worldwide.

At the core of this strategy remains the company’s guiding objective:

Developing and manufacturing high-quality chemical products that help protect life and property worldwide
