Job Summary 

We are calling for an experienced and reliable mixing operative to join our production team here at Polyseam.

The candidate will be expected to:

• To mix products following the issued instructions and within laid down procedures and safety practices within the mixing area.
• To work with Supervisors and Team Leaders to ensure that production requirements are fully understood and met.
• To ensure that the quality of product is maintained and that all procedures relating to presentation, identification, storage and transportation are followed as per laid down procedures and practices.
• To wear and correctly use the required PPE that has been issued to you personally and to ensure that it is regularly cleaned and maintained and correctly stored when not in use.
• To complete all necessary records accurately and honestly and ensure that they are processed promptly and returned to the Production Planning Office and Laboratory.
• Work well as a team member with your immediate team and accompanying departments alike.
• Have a good level of fitness.

• Identify and report issues or opportunities for improvements in production
• Ensure all Production Procedures are followed, and processes align with company quality standards.
• Proactively contribute to Polyseam’s Health & Safety policies

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient handling of raw materials.
• To complete all necessary records accurately and honestly and ensure that they are processed promptly and returned to the Production Planning Office and Laboratory.
• Regular equipment and environment checks, reporting and acting upon defects.
• Adopting and promoting safe working practices throughout.

Job Summary 

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production operative to join our busy and dynamic Manufacturing team.

While the primary focus is on the operation of the Sheet extrusion line, there could be occasional requirements for cross-training and operating in various areas across Manufacturing based on requirement.

Key Responsibilities 

• Work closely with internal stakeholders (QC, Engineering, Production) to ensure efficient running of the line to meet customer demands
• Machine Setup: Operator is required to set up the extrusion machine according to specific job requirements, configuring machine controls and adjusting temperatures and pressures.
• To proactively buy into the positive company culture and proactively contribute to improvements in efficiencies
• Operation Monitoring: Continuously monitor the extrusion process to ensure materials are being shaped correctly and to specification. This may involve adjusting controls to maintain the quality and consistency of the output.
• Quality Control: Alongside the QC department, inspecting extruded products for defects and making necessary adjustments to the machine settings is crucial. Operators must be adept at detecting and correcting issues to maintain high-quality standards.
• Routine Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating to help prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities is essential for tracking performance and troubleshooting issues.

• Ensure all Production Procedures are followed, and processes align with company quality standards.

Experience

• Engineering/manufacturing operator background (ideal)
• Strong mechanical aptitude (qualifications or working experience)
• Experienced in working within a fast-paced environment
• Sheet extrusion knowledge would be ideal
• FLT licence is desirable – Counterbalance/Pivot Steer

We are looking for a proactive Continuous Improvement Operator to join our busy and dynamic Manufacturing team. This role requires experience within a similar role, with proven ability in Lean, Continuous improvement and systems.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, technically confident with systems, and capable of communicating well with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently improve and remove bottlenecks within manufacturing processes
• Conduct time and motion studies and workflow optimisation activities
• Maximise production output while reducing waste
• Maintain excellent standards of quality, health, and safety

Quality & Output Oversight

• Ensure all CI initiatives meet required quality standards
• Monitor key performance indicators, including:
• Throughput
• Defect rates
• Downtime
• Apply Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to optimise workflows
• Maintain a strong safety-first and quality-first mindset

Issue Resolution

• Communicate findings from time and motion studies
• Support troubleshooting and corrective actions
• Gather and analyse production data to identify trends and opportunities
• Identify deviations from standard operating procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis and structured problem solving

Summary of job:

We are calling for an experienced and reliable warehouse operative to join our logistics team here at Polyseam. This is a 6-month fixed-term role, supporting our late-shift operations.
Hours will be, Monday to Thursday 14:00 – 22.00, Friday 12:00 – 18.00

The candidate will be expected to:

• Operate forklift trucks proficiently and safely
  • Candidates applying should have experience in operating pivot steer FLT, and hold an up to date licence.
• Learn and use our inventory management systems.
• Receive and locate goods.
• Accurately and securely pick and pack goods.
• Involvement with stock management and stocktaking.
• Have a good level of fitness.
• Work well as a team member. With your immediate team and accompanying departments alike.
