His career spans contracting technical compliance as a self-employed individual, testing and certification at Warrington Fire with clients from diverse locales including Australia, Asia, mainland Europe, and the UK, and more recently, in distribution.

His professional foundation is bolstered by a BA Hons in Business Studies & Marketing, an IFSM-accredited Fire Stopping Inspection Course, and an ILM Level 3 in Leadership & Management.

He has represented Lincolnshire in swimming competitions in France and has experienced the thrill of skydiving from 14,000 feet. Nico Bower anchors the Internal Sales and Customer Service Support team at Polyseam, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while delivering excellent customer interactions. Patrick is a skilled CAD Draughtsman at Polyseam, specializing in designing fire test layouts for our products and prototypes. He expertly creates comprehensive test packs, sources necessary materials and services for fire tests, and manages inventory. Additionally, Patrick develops detailed drawings for European Technical Assessments (ETAs), manufacturing processes, and technical assessment documents tailored for our clients.

Patrick earned a degree in Estate Management from Northumbria University, providing a solid foundation for his technical expertise. In one of his previous roles, he developed 2D and 3D models for a biomass torrefaction system and enhanced system efficiency through computational fluid dynamics simulations.

Family time is important, and he frequently travels to Ireland to soak in the scenic walks, vibrant music, and, of course, the local Guinness.

Henrik, Technical Manager in Norway, has since 2011 evolved from a salesperson to a key figure in the company, driven by his passion for fire safety. He is instrumental in overseeing technical operations and in educating others, particularly through passive fire protection courses.

His sessions stand out for their clarity and engagement, leveraging his over a decade of industry experience. Henrik is the go-to person for technical advice at Polyseam, always available to answer calls and provide in-depth guidance.

John is the Fire Testing Manager at Polyseam, where he plays a vital role in coordinating fire tests and serving as the key point of contact between Polyseam and Element. John’s journey in the industry began with an advanced GNVQ in IT and City and Guilds in AutoCAD, equipping him with a strong foundation in technical design and computer-aided drafting. His career progressed through various roles, from CNC programming and furniture assembly to more complex joinery and shopfitting, before transitioning into the construction and fire protection sectors.

John’s extensive experience includes working as a semi-skilled joiner for several companies, where he honed his skills in building and joinery. This led to a pivotal shift to firestopping, where he quickly ascended the ranks, eventually managing multiple firestopping sites across London. His expertise was further recognised through numerous qualifications, including NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (PFP), FIRAS certifications for fire door installation and inspection, and a managerial qualification for overseeing evidence of installs. Before joining Polyseam, he managed projects involving fire doors and fire-stopping for commercial buildings.

Since joining Polyseam, John has earned additional Fire Safety qualifications, further solidifying his expertise in the field. Outside of his professional endeavours, John enjoys a rich personal life, engaging in activities such as airsoft with his son, fishing, gardening, and his newest hobby, metal detecting. John’s multifaceted career and personal interests make him a highly valued member of the Polyseam team.

Joanne manages the role of Credit Controller at Polyseam, where she is instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the company. Collaborating closely with the customer service team, Joanne oversees the setup of new customer accounts and manages ongoing ones to ensure timely payments. Her responsibilities also include monitoring and recovering outstanding payments while sustaining positive customer relationships, a testament to her diplomatic and efficient approach. Clare serves as the Purchasing Coordinator at Polyseam, playing a critical role in managing the flow of materials and consumables essential to our operations. Tasked with ensuring all purchase orders are raised promptly and tracking order confirmations, Clare works closely with our freight partners, ensuring that deliveries are on time and complete, a cornerstone for maintaining uninterrupted production. She adeptly controls stock levels across the factory, manages essential personal protective equipment (PPE), and coordinates with international suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure seamless procurement processes. Clare’s attention to detail extends to maintaining critical raw material and packaging information within the 123 MRP system, further showcasing her proficiency in managing complex logistical tasks.

Clare’s career in purchasing has evolved through several key roles, from Buyers Assistant to Purchasing Administrator and now to her current position as Purchasing Coordinator. This progression has been marked by her deepening expertise in material coordination and strategic purchasing practices. Her work involves close collaboration with the Goods In, Production/Planning, Purchasing, and Accounts departments, ensuring efficient intake and processing of all orders. Additionally, Clare is instrumental in setting up new packaging item codes on the MRP system and assists the Purchasing Manager in driving indirect cost-saving projects across various categories, such as site waste, stationery, and manufacturing consumables.
